Social media can be a great thing. It allows friends to stay in touch across long distances and maintain relationships. It’s also a great way to reach out to people and make new relationships in the digital age. Where would AngelsWin.com be without social media (and our awesome Director of it, Geoff Stoddart)?

One person who has mastered social media is one of the newest Angels, Hector Santiago. Acquired via trade this offseason, he endeared himself to Angels fans throughout the offseason by being truly interactive with fans and responding to their messages.

When we were putting together our list for guests at the Spring Training Fanfest this year, we truly wanted to reach out to Hector Santiago and invite him to our Fanfest. So, we did so in the only truly appropriate way—using social media! We were truly thrilled when he accepted our invitation!

By now, most Angels fans have gotten to see Hector Santiago in Spring Training action. He’s a lefty and throws a screwball. The thing is just nasty. At AngelsWin.com, we believe that he is going to be a great addition to our starting rotation.

But, as much as he is going to be great on the mound, he’s truly going to become a crowd favorite for all the things he does off the mound. He just comes across as genuine in person as he does through social media.

Please click on the video below and get to know one of the newest starter’s in the Angels rotation, Hector Santiago.
