Skaggs used to throw mid 90s, the theory was that a mechanical issue caused him to lose some velocity.

from what i understand, the gun at Tempe Diablo had Skaggs in the mid 90s in his first start this spring.  Seems like whatever velocity issue he was having last year has been corrected.

not watching the game.  seems like he's given up a bunch of seeing eye singles.  Are they hitting the ball hard?

Keep in mind to, looks like they were having Skaggs throw the curve a lot more today to all 4 quadrants of the zone. Season nearing, need to get a good feel for the curve

 

as long as his velocity is steady, I'm excited
