Night Stalker was hellbent on escaping and killing more people.

i've never understood the morbid fascination some of these women have with men in prison. who wanted to marry this sick b*stard?

It's actually pretty fascinating.

I know a counselor that used to work at jails/prisons and she had weird stories about finding prisoners in this specific closet with some female counselors. You even see these prison shows on MSNBC and what not where the counselors marry the inmates. Even reading that Riverside County story in the pol forum the article mentions one of the undercover chicks being in a relationship with one of the drug dealers.

It's a trip to see counselors fall for sickos or chicks that marry or want to marry inmates.

yeah, there's a real fascinating psychology to all of this. probably some similarities psychologically to the helsinki symdrome (or whatever it's called) where captive people start to empathize with their captors.

on a weirdly related side note, my singing group is going to be singing at a women's prison in north carolina in a couple of sundays from now. i hope our single guys are on their guard.

I think that's true in some cases, Tank. But I also think it's a lot simpler in other cases. A lot of dudes in the criminal justice system develop a pretty masculine look and persona. And just as guys tend to be attracted to women with more feminine qualities, girls tend to be attracted to guys with more masculine qualities. I think it really could be that simple.

It still kills me that this guy died naturally.

I remember the night stalker days. It was HUGE if you were in socal at the time. Everyone was scared to death. When he was caught it was like a giant party. Neighbors all coming outside to talk about it. I know it sounds wrong to say it, but im glad he got his ass kicked a little before he was arrested.

He was pure evil, and I can see the camera guy saying he was scared. But it kills me that after preying on women and mostly elderly people for his spree, he was running for his life when unarmed men found him. Not to mention he spent his time in PC.

Good riddance.
