Some feedback please

A little self promotion I know...and yes, I know some of those photos are awesome (and feel free to tell me that if you would like)...but I would also like some feedback. Playing with Google's new Open Gallery tool for the first time.

What do you think of the open gallery tool as a slideshow/gallery tool? Is it easy to navigate or do you end up getting lost?

 

I like the entry page, and the exhibition title slide. But I also think it seems to be real easy drop out of the slideshow and the navigation is a little confusing.

 

Trying to figure out how much time I want to spend building exhibitions in this tool, unfortunately it's not as easy as I would like and requires a lot of manual data entry.

Obligatory: damn those are nice pictures. I wish I knew how to use my fancy DSLR.

 

As for the site, I like it when the arrows for next image are super-imposed on top of the image (vs way out at the edge like that).

I see that in RE listings all the time (means I can speed through the photos fast).

thanks for the feedback.

 

It does seem a little inconsistent. In some views there are arrows, in others (like full screen) there aren't...but you can use the arrow keys or your mouse scroll button. I don't like how you end up bouncing between full screen, and image view, and exhibition view.

I like it.  Never seen Open Gallery before.  But it was super easy to use with a mouse wheel.  Much easier and better than a slideshow when you have to click after each picture.

Yes, it's the only thing I have up there right now. It's fairly cumbersome so wanted to get a feel for was it worth the effort before committing more time and energy to putting other exhibitions in place (unfortunately none of them Girls of Sunset Beach).
