Hopefully, we start to see more of our prospects. Scioscia has been really conservative so far.

 

I want to see Lindsey, Yarbrough, Stamets, Borenstein, and Cron.

 

Cowgill, Pena, Navarro, Romine, and McDonald just doesn't do it for me. McDonald and Pena should both be out of baseball.

And Scioscia loses his first ever replay challenge on a Jimenez stolen base attempt. Clearly this is conclusive evidence that Mike needs Joe Maddon here to stop him from looking like a complete fool.

Just took Garrett Richards in a deep dynasty. Small sample, but the action on his change-up changed in second half last year (whiff%=21%).

 

 

That is a good whiff%

 

An improved changeup will help him vs lefties

Excellent outing by Richards today. When he has command of his stuff like he did today, he's tough to hit.

If he can actually control his pitches consistently he could be a solid #3 for sure. Thats easier said than done though.

I really wanted garret in last years opening day rotation. Maybe he wasn't ready but with what Owen did to us every fifth day, I would have rather gone rough some growing pains with Richards. Owen = Blanton. As in Owen one. Owen two. Owen three. Owen four. All the way through Owen eleven if I recall. Before finishing two and fourteen. Maronde gave them nothing to hit in the 8th. Just got home from work and turned on game.
