I was thinking about this as I was watching the game. Normally, when a team underachieves, there's a lot of pressure on the new acquisitions to make an immediate impact and the younger players to improve. I feel that almost ALL of the pressure this year falls on Pujols and Hamilton which, hopefully, will allow everyone else to relax and enjoy playing the game.

I hope Calhoun is better than Trout as long as Trout continues to improve as he has. I remember telling Stradling when he was in little league that it was ok to have players on your team that were better than he was. Because that would mean you have a pretty good team. Does Stradling remember that?

I was intrigued by the hand signals and body motion dialogue that Pujols and Trout were doing when Trout was at the plate.

That was something I haven't seen before. It seemed like Pujols was telling him what to watch for, or expect.
