This was a terrible situation but I still don't blame the cops for this one. Maybe I am in the minority for this view.

I saw this story when I was in San Diego a couple of weeks ago.  I guess the CHP officer has had a run-in with another fire fighter before this incident.

depends on what they do. i find it easier to trust them than a lot of others here apparently do, but if my civil rights or legal rights are broken, it'll be an option for me to take legal action.

So the cop that was hit by a drunk on his motorcycle died. That's shitty and all, but do the cops need to close down major freeways and streets during rush hour to transport his body to the morgue?
