Denver signs E. Sanders to a 3 year deal. I like this signing a lot as his speed will compliment D. Thomas, Welker and J. Thomas nicely.

Sanders agent did the Chiefs dirty going Boras and taking the Chiefs offer to other teams which Denver then gave out a better deal after already agreeing on the Chiefs deal.

Crappy thing to do but it's technically not illegal and supposedly Denver had no idea when they signed him.  That said Sanders' agent was already suspended years ago and broke an unwritten rule that will likely hamper his ability to negotiate other players contracts if GM's know his word isn't worth anything.

There were a couple write ups about it. He was decertified and suspended for eight years. I read multiple teams are bent on the situation.

It sounds like something that probably happens all the time. I'm not tripping as I didn't expect anything to come out of FA and am looking towards the draft....although I thought Sanders was the best FA available.

 

Seems to be a slow news day so sites like ESPN have the transaction as a top story and it's looking like there will be some kind of repercussions for the agent.

Vick is a stop gap and for competition purposes.

Agreed.  Vick will be turning 34 before the season starts and the best thing about his game has always been his athleticism.  QB's who aren't good pocket passers aren't going to be successful as they age and slow down.  On top of that Vick has always had problems staying healthy which was evident during his stint in Philly.  Geno Smith may or may not be the long term answer for the Jets but Vick definitely isn't and his signing just gives Smith competition this coming season.
