As I recall, though, different from what the article says, the Angels didn't rely heavily on K-Rod until just before the playoffs started and not for the season. In fact, he wasn't even K-Rod back then, just a kid named Francisco Rodriguez who really broke on the scene during the playoffs.

K-Rod's Angel Stadium debut came, iirc, in the first game of the 3 game season ending series with the M's.   I even remember being at that game and telling my co-worker "There is the Yankees' worst nightmare!"
