unfortunately, our leaders and politicians have shown themselves to be as untrustworthy and scheming as the dictators around the world.

they certainly have no problem lying to the American people over and over, you think they would give a crap about some third world country that has something they want? (oil)

Venezuela has the 4th highest murder rate per capita in the world. If the US is trying to stabilize that country it would not be to put a fascist in control that would make them number 3. Venezuela's problems are internal.

That country is a different animal but I can see a revolution happening there. Especially with all the support it would get from exiled Cubans in Miami.

I knew the place was in trouble when I read an article recently that said a refrigerator cost a year's salary, or something similar. The government even ordered the appliance stores to discount their products 90%.

 

Government-run economies don't work in the end. It's as simple as that.

There are lots of Venezuelan players already. Altuve, Cabrera (Miguel) King Felix off the top of my head.

Next to the DR, I think that country has produced more ML players than anyone outside the US.
