This off season focus on Mulder and the way it ended kind of reminds me of the epic battle between Tay Digs and Christian Bale in Equilibrium. The whole movie is leading up to it, you know it's gona happen, you even question whether or not Digs character might defy logic and movie convention and actually win, and then finally it happens and the scene lasts all of about 2 seconds.

Whether you thought he'd be an important part of the team or not, there is now one less guy between Blanton and the rotation. Sucks for mark and I feel bad for him, but it happening now is probably better than later. They really need another pitcher.

According to this article from Dec. 2012, he's been out of jail since Dec. 2012. He's "only" 40.
