We are getting it right most of the time actually. We haven't had a major attack on our soil since 911. Not perfect but worthwhile to keep it up.

I guess if you cause several wars, bankrupt multiple nations (including ours), and kill hordes of innocent brown people you can at least be satisfied that you "got it right" since there aren't any major attacks on our soil.

I wonder if we could have done it without racking up $6 trillion in expenses can't afford, getting 6,773 American soldiers killed, directly killing tens of thousands, indirectly killing hundreds of thousands, flattening countless cities, and strengthening that side of the world's hatred of and resolve against us.

Probably not. Good thing we're getting it right.
