Zach Lee plus someone else. At least.

 

Lee has a lot of strikeouts, but also gives up a lot of hits. I know, he's young and has nice potential, but for a proven veteran like Kendrick, we should get more in return.

I would assume the Dodgers would wait until ST to get a feel for what they have in Guerrero and how likely Figgins is to be a viable back up/platoon player.

Kendrick to the Dodgers makes alot of sense. I'm sure they'd rather have Guerrero and Gordon be IF backups rather than Sellers and Figgins.

One of those guys was in rookie ball, the other in Low A -- but as a whole I agree.    I don't think the Angels would consider moving HK prior to the season for anyone in Low A.

The Angels reportedly turned down a trade of Withrow and Lee for Kendrick last season, if the Angels are struggling next season, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Is Tommy Field still in the organization?  If he is, and if the Angels traded Howie, I would rather the Angels platoon him at 2B and let Lindsey spend time in AAA.

Well, I don't think they'd get three players for him right now, I don't believe they would take anyone in low A right now.  But at the deadline -- I'd not bet against it.

 

Entering the season, I'd say the Angels would set the bar at AA and above.

Again that was my very speculative opinion and was based nothing more on the fact that at that point in time there was a lot of talk about Scioscia and Dipoto's job status and that in mid-late June the Dodgers were still unsure they wanted to keep Mattingly.

 

For me it is a plausible excuse as to why Moreno chose to say no to the trade.

Yahoo is reporting that M Young has retired.  So, if that cat isn't an option for LA anymore should Guerrero not look to be ready.

Kendrick would be super valuable to a team like the Dodgers. He isn't owed that much money and he's an above average player at a thin position.

If the Dodgers came calling and gave up Lee/Witheow, I would jump all over that.
