It's wiped out in the Universal Expansion. Verizon Wireless closing too... sucks. I've seen a ton of shows at both of these venues.

The hot dog thread got me reminiscing about my favorite after club food stops. In the U.S. food carts and stands aren't as readily available so I usually settled for a local 24 hour diner with a breakfast buffet featuring plenty of home fries. So let's concentrate on the international scene just in case any of you ever find yourself hammered and wandering the streets of a southeast Asian club district. Feel freee to add your own areas of expertise . Japan- Some like sushi, some like yakitori but for me nothing beats a hot bowl of yakisoba. It sits well on top of sake or any of the Japanese domestic beers, of which my favorite is Suntori draft. Korea- My all time fav…

After a walk, a taxi ride to my car and then the drive home, I'm finally sitting on my couch. I went to dinner with my friend who recently broke up with his girl. He's taking it pretty hard and is dealing with it by going on the prowl, craving female attention and approval. I'm not craving either, but I don't mind the casual chat. I just don't want to work as hard as my friend does at it. So, after he chatted up about five different chicks, and me telling him I wanted to go, I finally got up and bailed. Didn't take long to find a taxi. It had an electric sliding door which confused the hell out of me. The driver is from Ghana. Excellent English. The resta…

I have a three year old Samsung 58 inch plasma TV that I need to get rid of. It is a PN58C7000 3D TV. It has an issue when displaying a full screen of very light colors (Light Blue, Light Green, White) that it will put a diffused red/purple hazy stripe through the screen. I notice it mostly during golf when they are showing the ball in the sky. If there is any color object on the tv along with the light colors it does not occur. It is brief. It has been going on for a couple months and is usually a sign that the TV will eventually go out. If anyone wants it I would take $200 for it if you come pick it up. Original cost was $2900, not that it matters. The TV is st…

I returned from Serbia yesterday after a short layover in Frankfurt, Deutschland. That's a huge airport right there. It's like South Coast Plaza with 747s and a gang of chocolate. Regrettably, I had another genius sit in front of me on the plane who kept her seat in recline the entire flight. I don't think she was real happy with me kicking the shite out of her seat when I had to adjust postions. Lucky me, I had an empty seat next to me and the German dude on the other side was in full understanding of me making the seat in front a punching bag. Leaving Serbia was bittersweet. I really grew to like the people. They are genuine and honest. Hard working too. …

Hey guys, I know it's kind of spam, but I'm hosting a bunch of fundraisers trying to raise money for Parkinson's research. Part of Team Fox, my team is called Airmen Against Parkinson's, and 100% of donations will be benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's almost 10 years ago, forcing him to retire from the police force after damn near 30 years. Even though it probably won't happen in his lifetime, I am still trying to help raise money in the hopes that maybe I can make a difference in other peoples lives. Please "like" our facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Airmen-Against-Parkinsons/4566991177402…

My wifes grandmother passed away. As I am known to be a big music buff (and because they had no clue what else to do with them), the family has let me have a moving box full of old albums. Does anyone have a clue how to find out if there is anything valuable in this collection? I can imagine that trying to find an appraiser is likely the answer, but how to find someone who won't be looking out for their best interests? I don't have immediate intention of keeping them. I was thinking of selling them, but I don't want to give them away for next to nothing if there is something potentially valuable in there. The collection is all over the place, from some old classical…
