First game of the season is two weeks from Thursday and my drafts are coming up while some of you may have already drafted. In one of my leagues I pick 3rd and in the other league I have the 14th pick which is the last pick. I've been reading up a bit about some of the talking heads who are pushing for a zero RB strategy this year in the first two rounds if you pick at the back end of round 1. The league I'll be picking 14th in added PPR scoring and I could definitely see going WR-WR. I'm guessing Kelce will be there and I don't doubt him or the offense he plays in I've just never taken a TE that high and I think there's some good TE value once you get past Kelce/Kitt…

Saw that Teddy Bridgewater was traded to New Orleans by the Jets. Not sure whether he is just to back up Brees in case of injury, or if this is part of a longer term plan.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Four players arrested at London nightclub for 'unpaid bar bill' Four Jacksonville Jaguars players were arrested on Saturday after allegedly trying to leave a London nightclub without paying a large bar bill. Police were called at 03:55 BST to a club after reports of a fight. It has been reported that club security stopped them leaving after failing to settle a tab worth £50,000. https://www.bbc.com/sport/american-football/46008877 That bill would come out to about $64,000 not including tip. These guys are exceptional dumbasses and will be flat broke five years after their careers are over.

I'm in 2 fantasy football leagues I've been playing in for years now but my interest has dwindled because of life and some of the rules the NFL implements which they can't even seem to explain. That said it's draft time and when I look at the rankings I don't really see a lot of guys I like but again I think that goes back to my lack of interest. Any players any of you are targeting because you expect them to break out or think they'll be good value picks? I look at QB's and after the first tier think there's enough value to where I don't want to pick a top 5 guy when guys like Cousins, Rivers, Luck, Mahomes, Ryan, Mariota and Goff are available. I can come up with ne…

Cowboys center Travis Frederick revealed some awful news on Wednesday, as the All-Pro lineman announced on Twitter that he had been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called Guillain-Barre syndrome. Frederick said he has already received two treatments for his condition in the last two days and that he is optimistic because his disease had been caught at a relatively early stage, but his doctors have told him he will be out indefinitely as he continues treatment. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/cowboys-pro-center-travis-frederick-diagnosed-rare-auto-immune-disease-002113318.html My wife was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre Syndrome after the birth of our…

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10670301/jim-kelly-former-buffalo-bills-quarterback-set-more-surgery-aggressive-cancer I know this is weird but I have been a Buffalo Bills fan my entire life. I grew up in Orange County never really got involved with the Raiders and Rams or Chargers. Jim Kelly is one of my all time favorite players and he and his family has gone through so much with their son passing away at such a young age. Didn't know where to put this topic, so just put it here. Hoping and praying that he recovers fast and they catch this cancer before it gets to far.

Time to start on next season. The last time my Giants drafted this high (#2) they got a grnerational superstar in Lawrence Taylor. A lot of pressure not to fuck this up. They need to get a QB to replace 37 year old Eli, and there are a lot of options this year. I know people are very opinionated about the big two (Darnold and Rosen), but I like Darnold.

He has twice referred to Drew Brees as Brady during the New England / New Orleans first half. Not sure he will cut it as a commentator.

A report has surfaced this morning that officials from the Oakland Raiders will be visiting Las Vegas soon to look at potential stadium sites. Ralston: Raiders set sights on Vegas for possible home Ralston cites correspondence with UNLV President Len Jessup as his source for the news. According to Jessup's statement on Ralston's blog, the Las Vegas Sands plans to publicly announce its support of a new special events stadium to be built on a 42-acre piece of land recently acquired by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Jessup's statement goes on to say the Oakland Raiders are planning a visit to Las Vegas to assess the area's potential.

He suspects football was a contributing cause. http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-dwight-clark-als-20170320-story.html The 60-year-old Clark wrote that he began experiencing symptoms in September 2015. He's lost significant strength in his left hand and also has weakness in his right hand, midsection, lower back and right leg. “I can't run, play golf or walk any distances,” he said. “Picking up anything over 30 pounds is a chore. The one piece of good news is that the disease seems to be progressing more slowly than in some patients.”

The jersey was found "on foreign soil" and "in the possession of a credentialed member of the foreign media". I'm guessing that this guy won't get a press pass to the next Super Bowl. Tom Brady’s stolen Super Bowl jersey has been located

Obviously this years Superbowl isn't exciting the angelswin-forum.com community much but I would just like to post this. What in the hell is FOX doing with this tuxedo/red carpet bullshit? It has become nothing but a pre game clown show.

Hoping this thread is appropriate, mods close it down if it isn't. Same goes for if its a duplicate. Feeling really bad for Teddy Bridgewater right now. He had a non-contact injury to his knee at practice today. Reports came out that it was extremely gruesome, causing some players to vomit. Teddy was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation. The official report is a completely torn ACL, dislocated knee, and other structural damage. The good news is that there is no arterial or nerve damage and very early outlook is a full recovery. He's probably looking at being out 12+ months unless he's Jesus Christ himself.
