Alden Gonzalez @Alden_Gonzalez 52m #Angels lineup: Calhoun RF, Trout CF, Pujols 1B, Hamilton LF, Freese 3B, Ibanez DH, Kendrick 2B, Iannetta C, Aybar SS; Wilson SP #Royals Gotta love the consistent lineup against righties! With Kendrick a near .300 BA over his career, Iannetta with a good OBP and Aybar improving his ability to get on base (leads all Angels with 8 walks this spring), can you imagine the RBI possibilities for Calhoun and Trout at the 1-2 spots. OM NOM NOM!

Started 15 minutes ago. Anyone watching? (FSN, not MLB Network) Seems more like an Angels Clubhouse episode. Rojas and Gubi hosting and so far seems to be more light side, opposed to expectation and prep. Interview with Freese, Weaver playing golf, touched on Sosh, and now going over Pujols. Just thought I'd throw this up there for those to tune in or DVR if they replay it later today.

I want to know what the best we think every regular can do this year. Not what you expect them to do, what the best they can do is. BA/OBP/SLG/OPS is best. 1. Calhoun. In 222 PA last year he had an .808 OPS. In his minor league career he's been between .877 and 1.047. Usually a bit old for each level. I'd say .300 / .400 / .500 is the best he'll do in 2014. 2. Trout. Best player in the game can break the 1.000 OPS barrier. He can hit for a higher average than we've seen, but with that higher average, I don't see a huge increase in OBP, still… he can have otherworldly numbers. I think we may see an increase in power though. Let's say .350 / .460 / .650.. Simil…

Tyler Skaggs still looks primed to be the Angels' fifth starter out of Spring Training, but he hasn't necessarily impressed lately. Over his last 11 1/3 innings, the 22-year-old left-hander has allowed 11 runs. And on Wednesday against the White Sox, while giving up five runs in 4 1/3 innings, he admittedly didn't have command of anything. View the full article

By Glen Mckee, AngelsWin.com Satire Columnist - Well, it’s the middle of March again and we all know what that means. There’s only one thing important about March and that’s baseball’s spring training. Sorry March Madness and Something on a Stick Day (March 28, in case you’re curious) – baseball rules March. It’s that time of year when every fan has a least a shred of hope that this season will be better than the last. It’s Linus in the pumpkin patch, but with warmer weather. With that in mind, a baseball fan has to be prepared for the season. Just like Linus knew everything about the Great Pumpkin, you, the baseball fan, need to prove just how m…
