Didn't want to put him on the prospect list but I do want to mention him. ERA under 4 for the Bees, 12 Ks, looks pretty good. I'm guessing he gets a shot soon.

Armed with the best change-up in the Angels system according to Ric Wilson, Morin has taken the lead in the 66ers bullpen. Not only does the 21-year-old Morin have 24 Ks 2 1/3 IP to go along with a 2.01 ERA, but he has only allowed two walks on the season. Morin's fastball is not on the same level as a Scoggins or Sappington, it is respectable, in the low 90s and he complements it with a solid curve. With the Angels lack of depth out of the bullpen, look for Morin to shoot up the depth chart and possibly compete for a spot in the Angels bullpen in 2014. For now, get to know Michael Morin a little more by watching our interview with the future star. Mike Morin 04-2…

Mathis spent years here contributing nothing but headaches to many Angels fans. Yet, he was constantly defended by Scioscia as if the fans should just ignore the bad and focus on the good of the rest of the team. As hard as us Angels fans would try, that name popping up in each lineup just made everyone cringe and want to complain again and again how he doesn't belong on the team and he is a cancer to every lineup. Amazing how life imitates art.

Our offense isn't clicking with Mike Trout in the two hole so why waste his speed there when he can't ever steal in front of Pujols? Scioscia is so stubborn he will put every damn player in the lead off spot but won't but Mike back there. So stupid on so many levels. JB Shuck as our lead off hitter? Who woulda thought that in Spring Training?

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor - MAY 13, 2002 OFF DAY - NOTEBOOK DETROIT -- While the Angels offense as a whole got off to a slow start, there were three in particular who struggled more noticeably than the others. But during the offense's surge in the past few weeks, the same three -- Tim Salmon, Brad Fullmer and Adam Kennedy -- have been a big part of it. Starting May 1, Salmon is hitting .343 (12 for 35) with two homers and 10 RBIs; Fullmer is hitting .394 (13 for 33) with one homer and five RBIs; and Kennedy is hitting .419 (13 for 31) with two homers and four RBIs. ''It's fun when you know you're not that one guy always getting out,'' Kennedy s…

After an 8-13 start, they've now gone 13-2 I thought Francona sucked! I thought he lost the clubhouse in Boston! I thought the manager doesn't do anything but make out the lineup card! I thought we didn't want him here despite two World Series rings and owning us (except in the 2009 ALDS).

The money has been spent, the players are relaxed, but the results aren't forthcoming, and the owner won't talk about it. Impossible scenario, but just for giggles- Would you just rather take your chances with Hamilton? Vernon Wells has, what, 2 years left on the contract? He'd prob revert back to the Wells we know and- well, that we know. Hamilton's contract ties us up for 5 more years. What would you do if that trade were possible for you to make?

The offense just looks horrific on some days. We had a nice 3 game winning streak, then the offense almost got a perfect game thrown on them. Why does our offense just tanks on certain days. Batters can't seem to work counts. They swing at bad pitches. They tend to stirke out with men in scoring position. Last week there was another pitcher who throw like 50 pitches in like 5-6 innings. Is this team being over worked or not worked enough with all the star power we have on or is our coaching staff is not preparing them? I expect or want more consisentency from this team. They need to be competitive every game not just every other game. It's not like they are fac…

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/4969/peter-bourjos Peter Bourjos (hamstring) continues to receive treatment in Arizona, and will rejoin the team when they return to Anaheim on Monday. Even the most optimistic of time frames have Bourjos returning to the lineup at the end of May or beginning of June. Hamstring injuries can be extremely detrimental to players like Bourjos who rely so heavily on their speed, as they tend to linger and pose a high re-injury risk. J.B. Shuck will continue to see additional time in left field while Bourjos is sidelined. May 10 - 7:36 PM Sigh.

Ok, so I was watching baseball tonight about a week ago the night C.J. Wilson struck out twelve and we lost to the Astros. I thought I sensed something strange, almost bitter in the way John Kruk criticized Wilson's lack of ability to take charge and be the ace of a staff. He said that C.J. only had one solid season, and made a couple other comments that I wouldn't necessarily deem inaccurate inasmuch as I'd say that they were unnecessarily harsh and reeked of rancor. Anyway, I chalked this up to Kruk having a bad day and forgot all about it--that is, until I watched the game last night on ESPN. Was it just me or was Kruk all over C.J. Wilson the entire game? He liter…

By Scott Stedman, AngelsWin.com Minor League Reporter - 1. Zach Borenstein, OF/1B, Inland Empire 66ers Past 10 Games: 12/36 (.333), 2 Doubles, 0 Triples, 5 HR, 9 Runs, 12 RBIs, 3 SB Overall: .287/.330/.638 with 9 HRs and 4 SB What’s Up: Zach Borenstein has been on a complete tear lately for the Angels High-A ball affiliate, the Inland Empire 66ers. The 22-year-old outfielder blasted his 9th home-run of the season on Sunday, putting him tied atop the list of home-run leaders in the California League. His .638 slugging pct. is also good for 1st in all of High-A ball. In 2012, Borenstein went largely unnoticed even though he put up a .824 OPS in the pitcher-frien…

For the most part, analysts thought the yankees were going to finish last in a competitive AL East. Then everyone on their team got injured, their captain is out, their big boy hitters are out (granderson, texeira, arod), mariano is coming off a big injury, petite is old, yet once again they are back on top. Why can't we do that? We have had some injuries, our pitching is suspect (not that the yankees is amazing either), but we just can't get it done like they do. I swear, they just have a swag and attitude the gets them wins, coupled with their talent, they are always in the equation, while high priced teams like the angels and dodgers can't even shoulder the…

So its was all Arte's fault then for not resigning hunter, greinke and going after Hamilton..... "In DiPoto’s defense, it should be noted that it was Moreno who made the decision to cut ties with Torii Hunter, the longtime fan favorite and galvanizing force in the Angel clubhouse, and Moreno who made the decision not to spend the money on Greinke, when it was pitching the Angels needed to get last winter, and Moreno who made the decision to spend it instead on Hamilton." He's not hitting at all at this point(.231/.265/.277 slash line on the season) and with Callaspo back, he's less useful. At this point, I kind of want them to send him back to Salt Lake to actually play. Of course it's not clear that there's anyone left in Salt Lake who's a better use of a roster spot.

6.2 IP, 2 ER You did your mom proud. Keep up the great outings. The Angels REALLY need it. But I felt Sosh went to the pen a bit early... but that's another topic. Heck, even Hawk Harrelson was impressed with the outing.
