The league says the officials from Thursday night's matchup did not properly apply baseball rules regarding pitching changes. CHICAGO — Major League Baseball suspended the crew chief and fined all four umpires who botched a simple application of the rules in Thursday night's game between the Angels and Astros in Houston. Trumbo cut down at 2B today for the Angels 21st time, is Scioscia out of this game? After getting cut down over the weekend against Baltimore, too, Scioscia's sending him them there again today, with Hamilton in the box?! Unnecessary!! Bet pushing makes or breaks your game, and that might have been his last chip. If they lose this game.

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor - MAY 10, 2002 GAME 34 - WHITE SOX AT ANGELS ANAHEIM -- Now the Chicago White Sox know how the Cleveland Indians must have felt. It was 11 days ago that the Angels routed the Indians, 21-2, in the type of game that seems to come around only once a season, if that. But the Angels did it again Friday, knocking the White Sox silly with a 19-0 victory before 36,715 at Edison Field. Like the game in Cleveland, the Angels did everything right. The 19 runs were the most scored by the Angels at home in franchise history. They had a season-high 24 hits, including home runs by Garret Anderson, Brad Fullmer, Julio Ramirez and …

Please! Continue to jump-ship. It was very nice having so much leg-room at the game last week when you didn't show-up... The whine-song is getting old in here. "Howie sucks!" "Scoscia and Dipoto suck!" "Hamilton sucks!" "Pujols is hurt, too old, and sucks!" "Trout is too fat to improve on his historic rookie season!" etc. Some of it may be true, and it really sucks to lose a series to Houston... but I will still watch and root for them, as I see some guys still showing some fire and trying to get it done (Hopefully, the Kings will make a repeat-run so I don't have to watch every minute of the Angels games). I don't know what the solution is, but It's n…

If Hanson can't make tonights start… as reported by Alden Gonzalez, what should the Angels do? According to Alden, they could bring up Orengal Arenas (6.75 ERA) or push Williams ahead to normal rest but then they'd need a starter for Saturday so apparently that's not an option? Okay maybe I'm reaching here, but why couldn't they do something a little more creative? Like say, bring Wiliams forward a day and use the SLC starter from Monday's game on Saturday? That would be Buckner, I think. Or they could bring up a AA guy I suppose. Manny Correa is the starter up for Saturday I think if they pitch Williams tonight. Or Is it Possible Hanson could be back on Saturd…

Tommy Hanson continues to deal with family issues and will not make his scheduled start against the White Sox on Friday, Mike Scioscia announced after Thursday's 6-5 win over the Astros. Scioscia did not say who will take Hanson's place, but there aren't many options. View the full article

Downs Madson Burnett Richards Jepsen Frieri Williams This is a very formidable bullpen. If we can get to this point, before losing too many more games, we still have a shot.

HOUSTON -- The Angels played Thursday's series finale at Minute Maid Park under protest, because manager Mike Scoscia argued Astros skipper Bo Porter wasn't allowed to make two pitching changes before the first reliever fired an official pitch, but since the Halos pulled out a 6-5 victory, the issue is a moot point.
