http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/los-angeles-angels-manager-mike-scioscia-job-not-in-danger-says-owner-arte-moreno-051613 The Los Angeles Angels have one of the worst records — and highest payrolls — in the American League, but owner Arte Moreno said Wednesday that the job of manager Mike Scioscia is safe. Moreno spoke to FOXSports.com outside Major League Baseball’s headquarters in New York, where he is attending this week’s owners’ meetings. He said the chances of an in-season managerial change are “right now, zero.

Vernon Wells, Jean Segura, and Ervin Santana: 4.5 fWAR. Entire Angels Roster (hitters and pitchers): 4.6 fWAR. And all the free agent signings suck. And the farm system sucks. And Enright. Extend Sciosia and JeDi.

That's how many wins this team is on pace for this year. 25% of the season is over tonight. May was supposed to "get them healthy". And now Arturo is "taking the blame himself". 3/4 of the season left to go and the owner is using the word blame. Not "turn it around", not "working on it", but blame. You can safely book those October golf getaways now while the cost is still relatively cheap.

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor - MAY 16, 2002 RAINOUT - ANGELS AT TIGERS DETROIT -- After a three-hour, 55-minute delay, the Angels game with the Detroit Tigers was rained out Thursday night at Comerica Park. No makeup date has been scheduled. The Angels are not scheduled to return to Detroit this season, but since the Tigers have one more trip to Anaheim, it's possible the makeup game will be played at Edison Field. After the long delay, Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski thanked Angels manager Mike Scioscia for his patience, then added: ``Go beat up on everybody else now that you're done beating up on us.'' Scioscia said he had no problem with…

Not that they'll be any different or anything. "Arte has expressed his unconditional support for me, I can turn the page on this absurdity that I should be fired." Enright had some good pitches goin', he showed some glimmers of what can be. A pitch or two found a barrel, but overall this kid can bring it. The box score don't tell the whole story, all in all he made some good pitches and ate some innings for us. We'll build on this outing to get where he needs to be. Butchsie is gonna get down in the pen with him and they'll work on a mechanical tweek or two and get him where he needs to be. We saw sumpin' in Mark Lowe in spring training, he's gonna be important for us…

Barry Enright and Mark Lowe are roughed up for seven runs in the third inning, which includes a three-run double by Lorenzo Cain.

The good news for the Angels is that with Monday's off day, they can skip the fifth spot in the rotation, which, until Wednesday night, was held by Barry Enright, who opened the season at triple A and appears headed back there soon. View the full article

Not a single qualified regular on the Angels roster is hitting over .300..isn't that strange? Only guy over .300 is PB and his 15 game sample size.

You hit the ball. You throw the ball. You catch the ball. Dammit! This is really pissing me off. I can't believe the Halos are a Major League team. They're more like a single A team that just happens to have about 5-6 veterans making rehab stints. I mean, is it really difficult for these guys? Are they getting paid to lose games? I spend the whole day anticipating the game, only to be left disappointed and broken. I dunno what they need to do But, they better figure it out quick
