The Angels have acquired Zack Greinke in a trade with the Brewers, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Morosi of FOX Sports (Twitter link). Milwaukee will receive top infield prospect Jean Segura and two Double-A pitchers in exchange for their ace. The two teams are just putting the "finishing touches" on the completed trade.

| I like Segura, but with Kendrick/Aybar locked up, he was expendable. Hellweg/Pena/Schugel...whichever 2 are in the deal, that hurts the SP depth a bit but if they can lock up Greinke + still having Richards in the mix then it's not a big deal

Location: Limbo | OK, it is the worst configuration, but I'm OK with that. Pena is a loss, maybe moreso than Segura. But look at this possible rotation next year:
Weaver, Greinke, Wilson, Haren, Richards
Naaaaasty. I really hope Greinke extends. They've got good therapists in LA. |
