| So I checked up on the stats for last year and I was actually pretty surprised. He had a great fielding percentage, assists, and good UZR. This year, it is a completely different story! Did he gain more weight and is slower now? Are his eyes actually giving him problems? Does he just not care anymore this year? Or is it all three?

| I would wager a combo of things. The only guy I was concerned about going into this season in the OF was Abreu but they both have sucked equally. |

Location: Perth, Western Australia | There were some times last year where his suckiness in the field came through, like that game against the Red Sux in Fenway where he pulled up on that ball that gave them the walk-off win (the we were robbed by Rick Reid game). Overall though, he was pretty solid out there last year.
To be honest, I don't care what it is. I just know he sucks and needs to go. |

I think it's something with the eyes. He just isn't reading the ball well at all this season. Last season he was slow, but he read the ball off the bat well, so made up for it with good routes. This season, I don't know if it's the lights, all the advertising plastered all over the stadium, or what. But when it's hit, he's not reading it well at all, and unlike Torii, doesn't have the speed to make up for a bad read. |

| I actually remember the broadcasters saying during ST that Juan Rivera lost some weight coming into the season. |

| The broadcasters said that his eye problems might be pressure related. |

| I call JR Usain Bolt. He is slow and lazy. Blame it on eyesight if you want. |

| Well, his speed which was only average to begin with, went downhill when he broke his leg. I know he has had some bad plays, but I think calling him lazy is overstating it. |
