Surprising no one has ever won it.

Way to start it off. You actually have to choose a Yankee or Red Sox to get a hit. Can I wish for a dual no hitter?

Gotta go with Cano and it's not surprising at all no one has won it.

Say your best chance is some guy who has an 80 % chance of getting at least one hit hit and now multiply .8 by itself 56 times!

Here's your appx % of getting 34 games straight with the best player you can possibly pick: 0.00050706

I remember being all excited about learning math and probabilities as a kid. This had to be 3rd-4th grade. I remember thinking to myself, "Yes, Im going to learn how to calculate luck, situations, skill factors, etc. etc. into probabilities" Then the day came when we learned probabilities...Teacher: "Derek, what are the odds that Team A will beat a field of 16 teams?" I said, "I dont know, but Im ready to crunch the numbers!"... She said, "Its a 1 in 16 chance." I wanted to slap her in the face.

This is just aggrivating. I went low bandwidth on the MLB pages. Saw everything, video, pictures, text. Next time I visited the MLB site on low bandwidth, can't see anything but a few graphics and a lot of blank space. Same situation on high bandwidth. And I'm suspecting same thing is happening for the beat the streak, since I was able to see everything the first time I visited it, and can't see much the next times after.

I had Jeter last night, only 56 more to go! Have you guys seen the new "Jumpstart pick"? You can pick any player in the majors as your jumpstart pick and if you forget to pick someone that day, your jumpstart pick is automatically selected. This only works until your streak gets to 3, however.

Had Jeter last night, and Kemp today. Not sure who I have tomorrow. I think I filled till Wed or Thurs so hopefully they get it fixed.

IE, there is an option to put a default player in, in case you forget. If I could get it to work, I'd put someone in.

Going with Abreu tomorrow. Facing a pitcher in Blackburn who doesn't get any K's at all, but also has great control. With Abreu hitting 2nd he'll have plenty of AB's to try for a hit!

Tonight I'm going with Miggy Cabrerra ... don't forget to pick

Man, my streak almost came to an end. Had Miguel Cabrera, who was down to his last strike in th e9th vs Joakim Soria who is flat out nasty, and he hits a hr off the foul pole on the 10th pitch of the AB to continue the streak for me
